Welcome to Ladd K-8 School – Home of the Ladd Leopards!

At Ladd K-8 School, we believe that every student has the power to grow, lead, and succeed. As proud Ladd Leopards, we follow our Pawsitive Paws expectations by being safe, kind, respectful, and responsible every day—at school, at home, and in our community.

The Ladd Elementary school philosophy is that all children have the ability to learn. The Ladd staff members work together to provide each student with quality educational experiences, which nurture growth towards becoming a productive member within a diverse and changing society.

Our school is a place where curiosity is encouraged, differences are celebrated, and every voice matters. We are  fortunate to have a wide range of cultural diversity in families from the local area and around the world.  We have approximately 60% military connected students from Fort Wainwright and also serve neighborhoods from the Fairbanks community. From kindergarten through 8th grade, our dedicated staff is here to support and inspire students as they develop the academic and social-emotional skills they need to thrive.
