The Ladd K-8 Lottery is open from February 5, 2025 to April 18, 2025 for all incoming FNSBSD 6th, 7th, 8th graders in the 2025-2026 school year. If you have difficulty applying, please Ladd's office at 907-451-1700, option 2.

Lottery Details
In the upcoming 2025-2026 school year, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade will be offered in an innovative K-8 model.
The 6th, 7th , and 8th grades at Ladd K-8 School are open to all students in the district. District bussing is available only for the students in Ladd's attendance area or students in the Tanana attendance area who can take the bus to Tanana and then walk across the street to Ladd. The 6/7/8 lottery process takes the place of the “out of attendance area” application for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students at this school.

Interested in enrolling? The district uses an online lottery portal to collect, verify, and process applications. (Students already attending 6th and 7th grades at Ladd do not need to reapply if they wish to remain here for 7th and 8th grades.)
- First round lottery application period: February 5, 2025 - May 2, 2025
- After the first round of the lottery closes on May 2nd, parents will be notified of their student's enrollment on May 5th and will need to confirm acceptance by May 7th.
- The K-8 Options lottery enrollment portal will reopen May 8th and students will be enrolled in the order in which they are received, on a space-available basis. If enrollment reaches capacity, student names will be added to a waitlist in the order in which they are received.
- Current Ladd students, students in the Ladd attendance area, and students with siblings at Ladd will be given preference in the lottery.
After the lottery application window closes on May 2nd, 2025, additions to the wait list will be accepted beginning May 8th, 2025. These "late" applications will be added to the waitlist in the order in which they were received. No preferences will be applied to late applications.
Note: Only one Ladd Elementary Lottery application per student will be honored. Duplicate applications will be deleted from the lottery system.
