Lottery Details
In the upcoming 2026-2027 school year, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade will be offered in an innovative K-8 model.
The 6th, 7th , and 8th grades at Ladd K-8 School are open to all students in the district. District bussing is only available for the students in Ladd's attendance area. The 6/7/8 lottery process takes the place of the “out of attendance area” application for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students at this school.
Interested in enrolling? The district uses an online lottery portal to collect, verify, and process applications. (Students already attending 6th and 7th grades at Ladd do not need to reapply if they wish to remain here for 7th and 8th grades.)
- First round lottery application period: January 6, 2026- March 16, 2026.
- After the first round of the lottery closes on March 16th, 2026, parents will be notified of their student's waitlist number on March 23rd, 2026 and will need to confirm acceptance by March 25rd, 2026 at 3:45 PM.
- The K-8 Options lottery waitlist portal will reopen March 30th and students will be waitlisted in the order in which they are received, on a space-available basis. If enrollment reaches capacity, student names will be added to a waitlist in the order in which they are received.
- Current Ladd students, students in the Ladd attendance area, and students with siblings at Ladd will be given preference in the lottery.
After the lottery application window closes on March 16th, additions to the wait list will be accepted beginning March 30th, 2026. These "late" applications will be added to the waitlist in the order in which they were received. No preferences will be applied to late applications.
Note: Only one Ladd Elementary Lottery application per student will be honored. Duplicate applications will be deleted from the lottery system.
